The Valley Zoo is one of Edmonton's most established and best-loved attractions. Opened all year round, the Zoo is the only accredited zoology program in Northern Alberta, and features animals from around the world.
With a variety of special events throughout the year, the Valley Zoo is a great place to visit, no matter what the season. It is located in the West End, about ten minutes east from West Edmonton Mall, on 13315 Buena Vista Road. There are also educational and conservation programs at the Valley Zoo. The Zoo is very active in preserving endangered species, some of which can be found at the Zoo. When you arrive, be sure to check out the schedule of live demonstrations for the Birds of Prey, Sea Lion feeding and Elephant talk.
